BRUINS

Tonight - Channel 851, Boston Bruins vs. The Buffalo Sabres

WHO YA GOT?

Shawn Thornton made his point loud and clear that the Boston Bruins have already filed away the 2009-2010 regular season and are completely focused on the current task at hand, the Stanley Cup playoffs.
"It is a new season," he said. "It's a cliché, but it's true. You just focus on what's ahead and not behind you."

The B's are coming into this game with momentum and attitudes bigger than the BIG DIG. The bruins won the last two games to gain a go-ahead 2-1 lead over the sabres by winning Physical Battles, shooting the puck and out-skating the Sabres on the penalty kill. Boston is 21-8 when they lead 2-1,In order to continue this effort, the B's need to step-it-up off the opening face-off, finishing checks and hits on the blue line to keep Blue Buffalo out of the Boston Defensive zone.

Hits like last game, when Ellis was rocked by J. Boychuk; Ellis will not skate tonight, Cody McCormick was brought in from the Portland Pirates AHL Team. Known for his heavy hits big goals and dirty play, McCormick will be one to watch tonight.

Tonight the bruins need to act sharp, work as a team and bang bodies into the glass. Hot potatoe is not the best game to play in the NHL however the bruins need to pass the puck or shoot the puck faster in order to create a sense of un-awarness for net-minder Ryan Miller in the sabres net. His awarness of the puck is astonishing. Both Wideman and Bergerons goals in game 3 where one-time-shots, forcing all-star goalie ryan miller to lose track of the puck. This needs to continue in tonights match-up.

Tuukka or Thomas?
In his first play-off series ever tuukka has steadily gained respect and confidence. Tuukka's calmness on the ice puts the entire bruins line-up in good spirits. With the shakey Tim Thomas, (likely not to play tonight, but just might) in net, the B's seem a little more tense. Last time Thomas played net against the sabres, the B's suffered a loss due to 2 should-of-been-stopped lousey goals.

On a Good Note, Marc Savard, who passed his neuro-psych test yesterday, skated this morning. The Bruins have an optional skate this morning. Savard will continue to practice with the bruins until he is at playing level and okayed by his Doctor.

Tonights a big night, bruins win we head back to buffalo up 3-1 with a great look to finish the sweep. Get your self some beer, an HD tv, watch this video, Lets get ROUDY
